Mammary augmentation goal

In recent years, breast augmentation has become a routine surgical procedure in plastic surgery. Therefore breast augmentation with breast implants is not just a procedure in post-mastectomy breast reconstruction, but it is increasingly becoming a cosmetic surgery that aims to correct a physical defect. The procedure for breast augmentation surgery consists of the insertion of breast prostheses, which is characterized by three different surgical techniques. The procedure may require an overnight stay in hospital. During the post-operative period, it is recommended to avoid exertion with the arms for about three/four days. On the other hand, the patient must wear medical support day and night for at least two/three weeks.

After surgery

Patients can resume daily activities immediately after surgery, while it is recommended to wait two weeks before returning to sports activities. The same suggestions apply to exposure to sunlight, except for the area where the scar is located, which takes six months to heal completely.

It is preferable to know that the result observed is specific to the person concerned and that an identical result cannot be expected for another person, because of the individuality of each one.
